Recommendation to designate the interbank payment network
In 2024, we made a recommendation to the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, to designate the interbank payment network under the Retail Payment System Act.
We considered the designation of the interbank payment network would enable us to help deliver new payment options that are likely to be more secure, more convenient and reduce costs for businesses and customers.
The recommendation has not been accepted by the Minister of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
