University of Canterbury's "Consultancy Projects"

This page introduces a new series of University of Canterbury student research reports published by the Commerce Commission to encourage academic collaboration and wider use of publicly available Information Disclosure data.

We're publishing selected reports from the University of Canterbury's "Consultancy Projects" to support engagement with external research and encourage wider use of Information Disclosure datasets. This is the first report in the series, with further reports expected later this year.

Publishing these reports increases awareness of the Information Disclosure data that is publicly available for the infrastructure sectors we regulate (electricity distribution, transmission, gas and fibre). It provides examples of the types of analysis that can be undertaken using the data, and supports independent scrutiny and discussion by academics, students, and other interested parties. It also helps strengthen connections between the Commission and the academic community.

These reports are prepared by University of Canterbury student teams as part of their programme. The assumptions, analysis, views, and conclusions are those of the authors and are not necessarily those of the Commission.
