Amendments to information disclosure requirements 2025
We are making changes to the information disclosure (ID) requirements for Fibre.
Since 1 January 2022, price-quality and information disclosure regulation has applied to providers of fibre fixed line access services that are regulated under Part 6 of the Telecommunications Act 2001.
Information disclosure regulation applies to all providers of fibre services regulated under Part 6, being: Chorus Limited, Enable Networks Limited, Northpower Fibre Limited, and Tuatahi First Fibre Limited.
The need for this amendment
The focus of the Fibre Information Disclosure Amendment 2025 project is on targeted changes in specific areas (primarily quality); and other changes to help maintain the effectiveness of the fibre regulatory regime in the context of an evolving sector.
We have now published our draft decision, draft framework paper, draft amendment determination and associated schedules which can be found in the document tab. Submissions can be found below. Cross-submissions are due on Thursday, 18 September 2025, by 5pm.
We have also published notes from a Working Group on Outages ( 219 KB, PDF ) held with regulated fibre providers in April.
