Voice services deregulation review
In late 2024, the Commission found there were reasonable grounds to start a fibre fixed access services (FFLAS) deregulation review under s 210(3) of the Telecommunications Act.
In this review we set out our recommendation to the Minister on whether Voice services should no longer be regulated under Part 6 of the Act, or subjected to Price quality regulation under Part 6 of the Act.
We are seeking submissions on our draft recommendations paper and look forward to engaging throughout the process.
Alongside the Voice services draft recommendations paper, we are also consulting on our draft legal and economic framework paper, under section 210 of the Act. We have applied this draft framework to this review of Voice services.
