Enerco withdraws application for authorisation

Gas company Enerco has withdrawn its application for authorisation of its bid to buy 49 percent of Wellington electricity company Capital Power.
The Commerce Commission had earlier said in a draft determination that its preliminary view was significant public benefit would have to be shown before it could authorise the bid.
