Rent4Keeps Company Operations (NZ) Limited (Rent4Keeps) has been warned by the Commission for potentially breaching the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 (CCCF Act) and the Commerce Act 1986 (Commerce Act). The Commission's view is that Rent4Keeps may have failed to comply with its obligations to borrowers in relation to loan overpayments made, contrary to sections 9C(2) and 48(1) of the CCCF Act, and that it may have failed to comply with a statutory notice issued to it by the Commission, contrary to section 103(1) of the Commerce Act.
