Ilaisaane Malupo ('Nane Loans')

The Commission filed criminal proceedings under the Financial Services Provider Act 2008 and Commerce Act 1986 in relation to unregistered lending. On 26 May 2026, Ilaisaane Malupo was banned from participating in the financial service industry for two years, ordered to complete 150 hours of community service, in place of the fine that would otherwise have been imposed if Ms Malupo had the financial means to pay, and ordered to pay $15,000 in reparation.
