Eagle M.A.N Group Limited
On 11 October 2024, the High Court made declaratory orders that Eagle M.A.N. Group Limited breached the high-cost rules in ss 45E and 45G of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003; and failed to comply with the initial disclosure requirements in s 17. Eagle M.A.N. Group Limited was ordered to pay a pecuniary penalty of $200,000 for breaching the high-cost rules. The matter is now under appeal.
