The local fibre companies (LFCs) are the companies that are building the fibre networks as part of the government's ultrafast broadband (UFB) network initiative. The LFCs are Chorus, Enable Networks, Ultrafast and Northpower Fibre.
LFCs may apply in writing to be exempt from the provisions of information disclosure determinations. The Commission may at any time, by written notice:
- exempt the LFC from any or all of the provisions of an information disclosure determination
- revoke any such exemption.
