Viagogo
The High Court has declared that Viagogo GmbH (t/a Viagogo, formerly viagogo ag), a Swiss-based online ticket reseller breached various sections of the Fair Trading Act in relation to all six causes of action in civil proceedings brought by the Commission. Viagogo has appealed the judgment. The appeal will be strongly defended by the Commission.
The Commission is appealing the High Court’s decision not to grant an interim injunction against Viagogo. The appeal hearing is on Thursday 29 August at the Court of Appeal, Wellington.
A hearing of the Commission’s substantive case against Viagogo is yet to be scheduled. The substantive case is detailed in the Commission’s Statement of Claim in the documents tab below.
