Vector Limited

The Commission has issued Vector Limited compliance advice in respect of Vector’s standard form contracts used for the supply of connection services to small business and consumer customers. The Commission opened an investigation, after receiving a complaint about the terms offered by Vector for the supply of electricity connection services to a property development project. The Commission considered that some terms in the contracts were at risk of being unfair contract terms under the Fair Trading Act. During our investigation, Vector has agreed to amend or remove the terms identified and committed to update its contracts to address the Commission’s concerns.
