Rent4Keeps Company Operations (NZ) Limited has been warned by the Commission for likely breaches of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003. The likely breaches relate to Rent4Keeps’ obligations under section 9C to exercise the care, skill and diligence of a responsible lender and to ensure that any information provided by the lender to the borrower is not provided in a manner that is likely to be misleading, deceptive or confusing, as well as to the obligation under section 32 to comply with the disclosure standards.
