Kowhai Montessori Pre-School Limited and Rebecca Jayne Brindle

Kowhai Montessori Pre-school Limited (Kowhai) was ordered to pay a fine of $254,099.10 and reparation in the amount of $11,400.90 following guilty pleas that it had breached section 13(i) of the Fair Trading Act by making false representations about the amount of funding it was receiving under the Governments early childhood education (ECE) scheme. A former manager and director of the company, Mrs Brindle, has entered into Enforceable Undertakings to pay Kowhais fine and reparation order if the company fails to do so on time.
