Brand Developers Limited t/a TV Shop

In December 2025, the Commerce Commission filed charges against Brand Developers Limited (BDL), trading as The TV Shop. BDL faces 15 charges under section 7 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 (FTA), for allegedly engaging in unconscionable conduct in relation to the sale of high value products to vulnerable consumers and four charges under section 10 of the FTA for allegedly engaging in misleading or deceptive conduct. BDL is a New Zealand owned, direct response sales business which sells a wide range of products.
