The AMP provides information on how the business intends to manage its assets to meet consumer demands in the future. When the Commerce Commission reviews AMPs, it assesses the extent that the EDB has complied with disclosure provisions of the Electricity Distribution (Information Disclosure) Requirements 2008 and the Electricity Information Disclosure Handbook 2004. Feedback that an EDB receives from the compliance reviews enables it to continuously improve its plans and, by doing so, improve its asset management processes.
