The interactive map below displays zone substation data disclosed by Electricity Distribution Businesses (EDBs).
The requirement to disclose network geographic information was introduced as part of the 2024 Targeted Information Disclosure Review. The data was last received in September 2025. Raw geospatial data is available on the data download page.
You can view further details by selecting the yellow substation points or the blue substation zone polygons. These details include the substation name, connected feeders, and input/output voltage.
EDB network boundaries are also shown as black outlines. The EDB geospatial data has been simplified using a tolerance of 100m.
Transpower Grid Exit Points (GXPs) are shown as green points, with associated transmission lines shown as dashed purple lines.
