Transpower was required to provide the Commission with a calculation of the draft forecast MAR. It was certified by its directors and was subject to an independent assurance report.
The Commission set the forecast MARs and these are determined in the Transpower price-quality path determination.
Transpower is required to provide a compliance monitoring report at the completion of each 30 June disclosure year. The report will include a wash up of the MAR.
The Commission will update a later forecast MAR to take into account the MAR wash ups and any further capital expenditure approved by the Commission after the forecast MARs were initially set.
FORECAST MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE REVENUE (MAR)
The Commission has determined the forecast MAR for each of Transpower's pricing years from 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2015.

Transpower is required to provide and publish its annual compliance statement for each disclosure year ending 30 June in the following October.

Under individual price-quality regulation, the Commission sets an approved level of operating expenditure and capital expenditure to apply to Transpower.
