Transpower is subject to individual price-quality regulation and information disclosure regulation. Section 53A of the Act provides that the purpose of information disclosure is to ensure that sufficient information is readily available to interested persons to enable them to assess whether the purpose of Part 4 of the Act is being met.
The Commission is currently developing information disclosure requirements for Transpower that will apply from 2012/13 disclosure year.
