Draft TSO determinations for 09/10 released by Commerce Commission

The Commerce Commission has released its 2009/10 draft determinations for the period 1 July to 30 June on the:
- cost of the Telecommunications Relay Service (TRS) for the hearing impaired; and the
- proportion of the cost to be met by each party liable to contribute to the cost of the TRS and Telecom New Zealand's local residential telephone service (LRTS) obligation.

Draft determination extending number portability released by Commerce Commission

The Commerce Commission has today released a draft determination which would extend the number portability determination for both local and mobile telephone numbers for another six years. Number portability enables a customer to change telecommunications companies but retain the same telephone number.
