Telecommunications Act: Commission issues Final Determination for proposed Vodafone service

The Commerce Commission has issued a Final Determination for Vodafone's application for an access determination under the Telecommunications Act 2001. This service will provide interconnection of local calls between Telecom's fixed network and Vodafone's cellular network for those Vodafone customers with a local number.Relates to: Telecommunications

The Commerce Commission has reported to the Minister of Communications on Sprint International New Zealand Limited's performance in complying with the TSO Deed for Telecommunications Relay Services (TRS) for meeting the telephone communication needs of deaf, hearing impaired and speech impaired people. In June 2006, the Commission released a final determination under the Telecommunications Act, providing ihug and CallPlus with regulated access to an unconstrained wholesale bitstream service to be supplied by Telecom.Relates to: Telecommunications
