In determining the price for the UBA service in the UBA STD, the Commission imputed the retail price of the bitstream service and removed a benchmarked discount in accordance with the applicable initial pricing principle under Part 2 of Schedule 1 of the Act. This includes a range of steps, including removing the national and international data transmission costs from the retail price of Telecom's bitstream service.
The data transmission review was combined with the wider s30R Review of UBA pricing commenced on 3 March 2011. A final decision for the combined reviews was released on 28 July 2011.
