Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act Investigations – Recent Findings and Dealings with the Commerce Commission

This paper, delivered by Graham Gill, Fair Trading Manager, Auckland, to the Auckland District Law Society Credit Law Conference November 2007, discusses some of the key investigations undertaken by the Commerce Commission since the introduction of the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act. The paper also addresses some important points for credit providers to consider during the course of a Commission investigation.
