Telecom filed two applications, under the Telecommunications Act 2001 ("the Act"), for access determinations on 17 May 2002 concerning price and non-price terms in respect of interconnection with Telecom's fixed PSTN and on 21 May concerning price and non-price terms in respect of interconnection with TelstraClear's fixed PSTN (together "the Telecom Applications").
On 19 June, under the Act, the Commission issued a decision not to investigate the Telecom Interconnection Applications, as the issues raised by the Telecom applications could be dealt with in the context of the Commission's investigation into the TelstraClear Interconnection Application. Refer to the TelstraClear Interconnection Determination page for documentation relating to the TelstraClear Application.
On 13 January 2006 Telecom and TelstraClear announced that they have entered into an agreement settling a number of applications that are currently being considered by the Commission. This commercial agreement affects the following determinations. In accordance with section 54 of the Act TelstraClear has withdrawn the following application:
1. both of Telecom's Interconnection Pricing Review applications dated 26 November 2002;
